NI Football Code of Conduct/ 5A Side Rules

To Include NI Football Rules and Regulations:

Payments and Entry Fee Rules

Entry fee of £50 allows you to compete for fun in as many seasons and different NI Football leagues as you wish. This fee is a once off payment and will only be recharged if your team drops out and rejoins again for any reason.

1. A new team will now be required to pay the complete entry fee of £50 upfront Before gaining entry into the leagues. This can be done through Pay Pal or meeting Ian on an arranged NI Football match night.

1. B.Teams must register a minimum of 10 players for each season to show that they can commit to the fixtures.
1. C. Any team who has a “no show” during their first season will be released from the league and forfeit their entry fee.

1. D. Games will not commence until both teams have paid their match fee. This is the responsibility of the team manager/organiser/captain.
1. E.Teams unable to fulfil a fixture must give a minimum of a weeks’ notice and pay half of normal match fee [£15] and the opposition are given a 3-0 victory.
 Team Payments and NO SHOWS! 2.A If a Team fails to pay their full match fee on the night this will now result in an automatic loss of points until the correct fee is received [points will be reinstated at a later date once the money owed is paid in full] Also see rule 2f.

2. B. Teams who owe money at the end of the current season will now not be allowed to re-enter unless they pay an upfront surety fee of £50. This will be refunded at the end of new season if all match fees for that season are paid in full.

2. C Teams must register a minimum of 10 players for each season to show that they can commit to the fixtures.

2. D. A team who wins their division will not receive medals or trophy or their picture on the website until outstanding debts is paid in full.

2. E. Teams will now be relegated and or be removed from the league for consistently breaking these rules.

2. F. If a team” no shows” without due notice of 72 hours they will be charged full match fee [£27] and a 6-0 win will be awarded to their opponents.

2. G. Also any team with two unauthorised no shows or more in one season will be automatically released from the league.

There will be no exception to these rules.

On the Pitch Rules

3. A As part of a strict NI Football Policy, we would like to remind all teams to ensure that their players have NO METAL FOOTWARE. This is damaging pitches and also causing injuries to players.

3. B Any player wearing metal studs or blades will be

(1) Refused the right to play,

(2) Banned from the leagues

(3) Their team fined £20.

Team captains please note that you may be deemed to have a duty of care to the players you captain and therefore may be held to account if a team member injures themselves or others while wearing metal studs.

3. C Players must show respect and courtesy towards staff members of the facilities that we use. Any team who does not adhere to this will cause their team to be released from the League.

3. D Smoking on or around the pitch is strictly prohibited, players are reminded that this is against the law, and any individual breaking this rule will be subject to a maximum of a £2500 fine from the government and will also be asked to leave the leagues.

NO SLIDE TACKLES!

4. A This rule will not include the goal keepers as they are not allowed outside of their box. (Please see rules below) A “sin bin” will be issued for any player committing two slide tackles where he doesn’t hit the other player. Players who slide tackle and touch the other player will be sin binned automatically.  A direct free kick will be given to the opposition when this offence is committed against them.

NO PLAYERS ALLOWED INSIDE THE KEEPERS AREA/BOX.

 4. B This rule includes all players. When attacking an opponent’s goal if you step into the area/box an indirect free kick will be awarded to the opposing team. When defending your goal if you step into your own area a penalty will be awarded to your opponents. There will be no exception to this rule and the referee decision is final.

NO KEEPERS ALLOWED OUTSIDE THEIR AREA.

 4. C This will result in a penalty to the opposing team. As above their will be no exception to this rule and the referee decision is final.

4. D Ni Football utilises sin bins rather than yellow and red cards sin bins are usually 2 and 4 minutes or the rest of the match for extreme Unsporting Behaviour or any violent conduct.

4. E Aggressive behaviour will result in the offender being sent off for the remainder of the match and depending on the severity of the offence a player maybe banned for period of games or removed from the leagues. A penalty kick may also be awarded regardless of the position of the incident.

4. F Conduct which the referee views as unsporting will result in the player being “sin binned” and/or a direct free kick being given to the opposition.

4. G All free kicks are direct unless otherwise stated within the rules. I.E Pass backs and inside the box rules.

4. H Opponents must give the players taking a free kick, corner or side ball 3Yards.

 4. I Pass backs are only allowed after the ball has been played by two of your players or being played by a member of the opposing team. Deflections do count.

4. J An indirect free kick will be given from the spot where the ball was last played.

5. A Teams are expected to have their own kits/matching colours or as a minimum bibs and failure to do so could result in a points deduction.

5. B Teams must supply their own match ball.

5. C Each match will last 40 minutes two periods of 20 minutes, time depending.

5. D When the ball passes the side lines of the pitch this does not have to be thrown into play, it may be kicked. You may also score directly from a kick-in so keepers stay alert!

5. E Substitutions MUST take place behind your own goal line!

The referee’s decision will be final.

 NO

 .Kit bags heavy or sharp objects on the pitch.

.Drinks, food or chewing gum on and around the pitch.

.Bottles or cans on or around the pitch.

.Dogs or other animals on or around the pitch.

.Bikes, scooters on or around the pitch.

.Consumption of alcohol on or around the pitch.

NI FOOTBALL DECIDING RULES

 League Format And Group Stages

6. A If teams finish level on points, best head-to-head results will decide their final positions. If the game in question was a draw goal difference will be the method used, otherwise attacking goals scored will decide.

 KNOCKOUT STAGES

6. B In competitions if a match is drawn in normal time, Penalties x3 for each team. Then sudden death penalties will decide the match result.
