New Friday Season Starts This Friday On The 27TH Of August
May 10, 2010
The new Friday night league league season will start on Friday The 27th of August 2010.
Congratulations to last seasons winners:
Belfast Friday Premier League Springhill Superstars
Belfast Friday Championship Rosgoil Rovers/ Fc Quinn
Belfast Friday 1st Division Shameless Fc
Belfast Friday 2nd Division Belfast Boys
Belfast Friday Conference Club Vasco
Premier Division: Springhill Superstars won the title after a last minute slip up by Sparta Belfast only drawing 1-1 in their last game of the season. The Springhill boys took the Premier league by storm in their first attempt thanks to some Convincing displays against both Sparta and Belfast Swifts (both previous Champions). Will this season bring on another new Premier champion or can Springhill retain the title.
Championship:The championship season was a rollercoaster ride from start to finish with Fc Quinn coming out on top only on the last game of the season. Steau Needarest only needed a point to put the Trophy in their hands, but FC Quinn stole it of them in the final game winning 3-1 to clinch the title.
First Division: Shameless FC Battled through a tough Division to eventually run out outright winners after having three other teams on their tail the whole season and again the final game could have decided one of three different league champions. Shameless however held out strongly and deserved their victory in the end. Now let’s see how far they can progress?
Second Division: Belfast Boys held out the whole season to turn out to be deserved champions after a mixed bag in their first season the boys held it together with quite an impressive Goal tally As well this season. It now will be seen how they will go shooting into the half size nets for this season. However they have also got a strong defence which should hold out in the higher divisions. Best of luck for the big leagues lads!
Conference Division: The Vasco lads eventually pulled it together after a few seasons playing in the leagues and grasped a last minute opportunity to take the league of close rivals ESNI after they were beat 3-1 on the final game of the season whilst the Vasco boys managed to gain a draw. Well done lads and all the best for Next season.
